Stevenson theatre students are a class act!

Students sitting in a rowOver December 13-15, 2018, Stevenson High School Drama students participated in the annual Michigan Thespian Festival.  Approximately 1400 students from across the state of Michigan attended.  Under the direction of Cheryl Jackson, 33 students represented Troupe 33.

The students participated in individual event competitions, watched and supported each other during their performances, and they also attended workshops in this educational environment.  In addition, they had the opportunity to meet with college representatives from Michigan and surrounding states.

Students performed or presented in front of a panel of 3 judges and received a rating of Fair, Good, Excellent, or Superior.

In total we participated in 12 different Individual Events:

Mason Gaida received an Excellent rating in Monologue Performance.

Lindsey Rowland received an Excellent rating each in Monologue Performance.  

Nolan Ethridge, Dayton Porter, and Angela Sparks received an Excellent rating in Group Acting.

Mareo Butfus, Noah Elkins, and Joe Schell received an Excellent rating in Group Acting.

Angela Gjergj and Julie Akroushi received an Excellent rating in Duet Acting Performance

Angela Sparks and Lindsey Rowland received an  Excellent rating in Duet Acting Performance.

Tyler Pavlik received a Superior Rating in Solo Musical Theatre Performance.

Dominic Rzeppa received an Excellent Rating in Solo Musical Theatre Performance.

Haley Rivard and Alonna McCool received an Excellent rating in Duet Musical Theatre Performance.

Nolan Ethridge, Mason Gaida, Riley Klumb, Alonna McCool, A’Lexus Patton, Tyler Pavlik, Alexander Pavlik, Dayton Porter, Dominic Rzeppa, Makaila Seabridge, and Sophia Yabut, received  an Excellent rating in Group Musical Theatre Performance.

Julie Akroush, Madeleine Chase, Courtnee Delph, Makenna Delph, Jennifer Hopper, Sara Kape, and Haley Rivard received an Excellent rating in Group Dance.

Sarah Cybulski received an Excellent rating in Costume Design.

MacKenzie Cook received an Excellent rating in Sound Design.

Kelly Felice received an Excellent rating in Sound Design.

Courtnee Delph received an Excellent rating in Lighting Design.

Jordan House received a Superior rating in Set Design.

Makenna Delph received an Excellent rating in Set Design.

Chelsey Richardson received an Excellent rating in Playwriting
