Stevenson High School choir students will help kick off the September 29 Detroit Lions game.

Forty members of the Concert Chorale class will be part of a community choir that will sing the National Anthem at the Lions-Kansas City Chiefs game.

The 100-member community choir, which features students from across the metro Detroit region, will be under the direction of Stevenson teacher Leo Humbach.

"It is an awesome opportunity for both myself and more importantly, my students," Humbach said.

The community choir is an initiative of the Detroit Lions to celebrate the 100th year of the National Football League.
